The foundation stone of the attached teaching hospital (SVBP Hospital) was laid by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Hon'ble Shri Charan Singh on 31st October, 1967 and the hospital building was completed in 4 years and it was formally inaugurated by the then Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh Hon'ble Shri Prem Chand Sharma on 30th January, 1972.
